Welcoming to our Spotlight section, where you can find out about the teams, drivers and Championships that we at Collierhousehold have worked with since the brand was launched in 2010. Since we became more involved with the sport of Motorsport, through photography, videos and write-ups, we have created various media partnership with individuals and teams, which has seen our content published on multiple platforms and our branding on the side of cars or bikes. Our content over the years has been used by teams or drivers to find another way of attracting sponsors and continue to race at a level that suits them, which we are very proud of. We continue to create new partnerships over the years and are pleased to be involved in depth in a sport we thoroughly enjoy.
To follow our reports and to see photos of the drivers and team we support, the various social media platforms will give you an insight into what we do:
The partnerships that we at Collierhousehold have created since our formation in 2010 are as follows:
Elite Motorsport Engineering / Geri Nicosia (January 2015 – November 2015)
At the start of 2015 we spoke to a 2014 750MC champion Edward Ives, about the potential to help his team, Elite Motorsport Engineering throughout the 2015 Ginetta Junior Championship. Whilst the team were in the process of looking for a driver, a conversation between us and the team led to a photo-shoot in early March and a full media deal was done. At the 2015 Ginetta Junior Media Day, the team signed their first driver, as former Ford Fiesta driver Geri Nicosia joined for a full season. Ahead of the opening round at Brands Hatch in April, we agreed to provide media coverage from various rounds, to showcase the team’s progress and the championship. We ended up following the team at Snetterton and the finale, before doing the Winter Series in November. The Collierhousehold logo was placed on the rear of the G40 for the full season and our reports can be found under the TOCA category.
UK National Legends Cars / First4Vans (Nathan Anthony Racing) (2015 – November 2015)
In using our connection with Lawrence Davey Racing, the 2014 finale of the UK Legends Cars at Brands Hatch saw us agree to support Nathan Anthony Racing, to provide write ups on the team within the UK National Legends Cars Championship. Nathan had been pushing for someone to do media work for the championship and after discussions, put our name forward, ahead of the 2015 season. In writing for the series, our reports and photos would be used on the championships site, whilst we partnered with official Media photographer Rod Tietjen, to give the championship extra publicity. Throughout the early part of 2015, we unfortunately struggled to do work for the series due to clashes of race meetings but supported the series with photos at Snetterton in September. To read the write ups on the series, you can find them under the category: UK National Legends.
Lawrence Davey / Lawrence Davey Racing (April 2014 – November 2015)
At the start of the 2014 season, we discussed a media partnership with the double National Legends Champion, Lawrence Davey, who had moved into the JCW Class of the MINI Challenge back in 2013, alongside campaigns in the Legends. As Lawrence pushed to be a front runner in the MINI Challenge, we carried out the media activities for the team, writing race reports from each meeting for our site and site, as well as publicising photos across the internet, as a way of trying to attract more sponsors for the team. Our partnership has continued with the team each season and in 2015, Lawrence moved up into the brand new F56 class as the Best of Britain winner, with us supporting them throughout the early part of the season with a few reports and photos. To see our reports of Lawrence Davey, please visit the MINI Challenge category.
Paul Charman (March 2014 – Present)
In March 2014, we used our friendship with Paul Charman to partner with our first Bike rider, as Paul raced in the Van Insurer Sportsman Elite 600 Championship within the Thundersport GB club. Throughout Paul’s motorsport career, he had been a regular in the Formula 600 Class of the championship, riding the No.9 Suzuki and started the opening round of 2014 at Brands Hatch, crossing the finish line in 22nd, 19th and 20th. Ever since meeting up at our first Thundersport meeting in 2013, we promised we would try to help Paul and the family in obtaining sponsors, by providing either a write up or posting photos. Paul’s commitment within Thundersport GB increased in 2014 as he moved up into the Thundersport GP1 category with the purchase of an Aprilia and this is where he remained in 2015 under the Superstock class, racing for the first time on the Aprilia in the wet at Snetterton earlier that year. If you want to see or read about Paul in action, photos can be found on Flickr, whilst race reports are under the British Bike Racing category, which also includes reports from the British Superbikes Championship paddock and the rest of Thundersport GB.
Freddie Lee Racing (2014)
In the winter leading up to the start of the 2014 season, we started speaking to Essex’s Freddie Lee, who competed in the Pro 2 class of Pickup Truck Racing championship for the family run team. After stepping up from Ginetta Juniors, Freddie was starting his path to making it in the US, by trying to win in Pickups and then looking towards a potential move into NASCAR. It was agreed between us and Freddie that we would provide photos, videos and blogs, starting at the season opener in April at Brands Hatch, with the Collierhousehold website displayed on the rear of the Pickup. In the build up to this round, we gave Freddie coverage with a Q&A on his career, but come Brands Hatch, our partnership ended with a mutual split on the Sunday, as there was already a media person connected with the team, on a paid basis. Since then, we provided Freddie with a few photos from 2014, at Donington Park, Snetterton and Brands Hatch Finale, as Freddie collected the Pro 2 Title.
Graves Motorsport (2013 – Present)
The Production BMW Championship is an ever popular series under the MSVR banner and in 2013; we started supporting the Graves Motorsport team from Colchester, with publicised photos and a few blog posts. With plenty of clashes within our Motorsport calendar with other events, we missed a lot of the PBMWC action, meaning we couldn’t commit full time to helping the team. As the team grew in 2014, with David, Karl and Pete racing in BMW 320 machinery, we photograph the championship at Donington Park and Snetterton, but didn’t have a write up. We continued to support the team into 2015 with Karl carrying the Collierhousehold website along his No.555 320i and we would publicise the team at various meetings we attended. Our photos of the Graves Motorsport team can be found on Flickr and blogs would appear under the “One Make Series” category.
Luke Allen Racing (2013)
In 2013 we created a small partnership with Norfolk racer Luke Allen, who was campaigning a Renault Clio 172 within the MSVT Trackday Trophy series. Luke and his family were making their first break into circuit racing and the partnership came about with Cheryl and Luke briefly working together at a Graphics company in Mildenhall. Luke was impressed with the traffic that our website was gaining in its early years and we signed a partnership to support the team throughout 2013, which included their opening round at Snetterton, during the MSVR season Starter. Things didn’t go well for Luke with a breakdown during the opening race and not long after, our partnership ended on mutual terms. Things have been going well for Luke over the following years and he now competes within Pre 2003 Touring Car Championship.
