Ever since Collierhousehold Motorsport was launched in 2010 by Chris to create our own media presence within the world of Motorsport, it has always been our focus to try and support teams/drivers either with Photography, Videos or Blogs. Our content is then used to try and attract extra attention/sponsorship to the team or driver and is published via the website, social media or Flickr. Whilst originally launched as a side project to enhance a hobby, the team has been increased over the years with support coming from Cheryl, Wayne and Gavin, creating more media opportunities. To see more of our content alongside this website, please check out the links below:
To make ourselves more known around the paddocks in recent years, Cheryl put her graphics knowledge/skills to use creating the two C logo (to the left), which in the past has been seen alongside the website banner on various cars or bikes, competing in a number of UK National Championships. This has been achieved by creating various media partnerships with teams and drivers and it has been a privilege to works with these people and we continue to create new partnerships year on year. The partnerships have so far been:
Ryan Faulconbridge Racing (2020-Present)
For the 2020 season, off of historical support from his days in the Ford Fiestas, we partnered with Ryan Faulconbridge Racing. In making the step up from Fiestas to the JCW category of the Mini Challenge, Ryan would find himself on the TOCA package and under the spotlight of the BTCC cameras and spectators. At rounds we could attend, we would be supporting the team with photography, social media updates and the odd race report/blog throughout the season. To keep up to date in full with the team, check out their website, Facebook and Twitter pages.
BRSCC Ford Fiesta & Junior Fiesta Championships (2016 – 2018)
In 2016 we provided a social media partnership with the BRSCC Ford Fiesta and Fiesta Junior championships in connection with championship co-ordinator Al Day. The championship was benefiting from us regularly tweeting about the events and allowing access to our photos along with their media team for teams or drivers to use as requested. The rounds attended in 2016 were Snetterton round 1, Snetterton visit 2 and the Brands Hatch finale. We benefitted from their support of our services in gaining more exposure and was hoping to do a lot more in 2017, but due to scheduling conflicts we weren’t able to attend any round. To follow the championships please visit the BRSCC.
Elite Motorsport Engineering / Geri Nicosia (January 2015 – November 2015)
The partnership with Norfolk based team Elite Motorsport began at the start of the 2015 season as 2014 750MC Champion Edwards Ives looked to step away from racing to team management in the Ginetta Junior Championship. In March 2015 we assisted the team with a sponsorship media photo-shoot and by the start of the new season, the team had hired former Ford Fiesta driver Geri Nicosia for a full season. Ahead of the opening round at Brands Hatch, we agreed to provide media coverage at various rounds with the logo appearing on the rear bodywork. We ended up following the team at other rounds such as Snetterton and the finale, before doing the Winter Series in November where Harry King joined the team alongside Geri.
UK National Legends Cars / First4Vans (Nathan Anthony Racing) (2015 Season)
Following the work done with Lawrence Davey Racing throughout the 2014 season, we agreed to work with First4Vans owner Nathan Anthony, who raced in the UK Legends Cars. Our first piece of work with the team was at the season finale at Brands Hatch where we provided a race report to go alongside the photography. Nathan had been pushing for someone to do media work for the championship and after discussions, put our name forward, ahead of the 2015 season but nothing happened unfortunately. In completing one report, the championship agreed to publish on their site plus we partnered briefly with their official Media photographer Rod Tietjen.
Lawrence Davey / Lawrence Davey Racing (April 2014 – November 2015)
For the 2014 season we partnered with double National Legends Champion Lawrence Davey, who had made the move into the MINI Challenge the season before, racing a family prepared JCW. We agreed to provide race reports which were going to be transferred onto the team’s website as the season progressed. The First4Vans sponsored MINI would carry the Collierhousehold logo and we would support the team for two seasons before Lawrence switched to a role of team manager and started running more cars alongside his own. Whilst working with the team we provided write ups at Oulton Park in 2014 and then at Donington Park for the 2015 season. Since the partnership ended during the 2015 season we have continued to be a supporter of the team and always speak with Lawrence at race meetings for the MINI Challenge and provide photos if required.
Paul Charman (March 2014 – Present)
In March 2014, we used our friendship with Paul Charman to partner with our first Bike rider, as Paul raced in the Van Insurer Sportsman Elite 600 Championship within the Thundersport GB club. Throughout Paul’s motorsport career, he had been a regular in the Formula 600 Class of the championship, riding the No.9 Suzuki and started the opening round of 2014 at Brands Hatch, crossing the finish line in 22nd, 19th and 20th. Ever since meeting up at our first Thundersport meeting in 2013, we promised we would try to help Paul and the family in obtaining sponsors, by providing either a write up or posting photos. Paul’s commitment within Thundersport GB increased in 2014 as he moved up into the Thundersport GP1 category with the purchase of an Aprilia and this is where he remained in 2015 under the Superstock class, racing for the first time on the Aprilia in the wet at Snetterton earlier that year. We have continued to follow Paul as he purchased a Yamaha and competed in the Sportsman Class of GP1, going on to win the title in 2016, where we visited the team at Snetterton. For 2017 Paul moved up into the Elite class and we would look to catch up with him at Brands Hatch. From 2017 up to the 2020 season, Paul continues in the Thundersport GP1 category, learning more and more each time on the Yamaha R1 and impressing on a daily basis
Freddie Lee Racing (2014)
In the winter of 2013 and in the build up to the 2014 season we approached pickup truck race Freddie Lee, as the Essex driver was making a name for himself in the Pro2 class of the UK Pickup Truck Racing championship, run and supported by his championship winning stock-car father Barry Lee. Freddie had a strong junior career in the Ginetta Juniors and was looking at Pickups as he chance to target the US. At the time we agreed a partnership which included photography, working alongside his media team, which started at the season opener in April at Brands Hatch, with the Collierhousehold website displayed on the rear of the Pickup. In the build up to this round, we gave Freddie coverage with via a Q&A on his career, but come Brands Hatch, our partnership ended with a mutual split and we allowed the media team to run his progress in full. Since then we have provided Freddie with a few photos since from 2014 as we attended rounds at Donington Park, Snetterton and Brands Hatch Finale, as Freddie collected the Pro 2 Title and his career progressed further as he moved into the JCW Class of the MINI Challenge.
Graves Motorsport (2013 – Present)
One of our most successful partnerships has been with Colchester based team Graves Motorsport, who compete in the MSVR Production BMW Championship. The partnership began back in 2013 as Wayne introduced Cheryl and Chris to long time work colleague and friend Peter Graves, who ran his sons David and Karl in the championship. The team have since evolved to running near enough 8-10 BMWs per event and throughout our time working with them, carried the logo or banner along the bumpers of the cars. We began our partnership with the team by photographing the cars at Donington Park and Snetterton, but didn’t provide any blogs until 2015 at Snetterton when Gary Feakins drove for the team and one the championship. Even though the cars don’t carry our logos or website anymore, we continue to support the team when we can at various circuits when we can attend MSVR meetings. The team continue to be a driving force in the Production BMW and in 2018, David Graves recorded his first championship victory, before they defended the title with Matt Swaffer in 2019. For 2020, the team have spread their involvement into Mini Challenge and Ford KA racing.
Luke Allen Racing (2013)
Our first team partnership began back in 2013 when Cheryl agreed a deal to assist Norfolk racer Luke Allen, who was venturing into the MSVT Trackday Trophy series in a Renault Clio 172. Run a as family team, this was Luke’s first break into circuit racing and to assist in boosting sponsors we agreed to provide photography at as many rounds as we could, but unfortunately it ended up being the opening round at Snetterton only. This round didn’t go well for Luke and the team as breakdown ended his progress early. The team have moved on from the Trackday Trophy in recent years campaigning in national series with a Honda Civic and Luke has been successful with class titles in the Pre 2003 Touring Car Championship. Luke’s progress can be followed on twitter @lukeallenracing.
